My Purse Collection...So Far

This is my purse collection video that I did a few weeks ago. I wanted to do one because I came across a lot of very cool purse collection videos on YouTube and I love all of my purses so I figured it would be fun to share them with everyone. This year started off with a bang in terms of my purse collection because I got two bags that I'd been dying to get; one is a Juicy Couture Scotty Embroidered Daydreamer that I got from the Juicy website. The other is a Hello Kitty quilted bag that I got from BagHaus.com. I wanted both of those bags as soon as I first saw them. And I made it my mission to get them ;)

But if you're on YouTube please don't forget to rate, comment, and SUBSCRIBE to me! :) Please and Thank You!

Things I'm Excited About!

Okay, the first thing that I am very excited about is the new book by former Essence mmagazine editor-in-chief Mikki Taylor, called "Commander in Chic : Every Woman's Guide to Managing Her Style Like a First Lady." This book "uses the secrets of Michelle Obama's total style to empower women to live and look their best." Oww! I LOVE Michelle Obama; her smarts, her personality, her style. It's all purrfect. She is such a wonderful role model for young Black women and her fashion game is always on point. She has brought such a freshness to the position of First Lady; no more boring "old lady suits" and stuffy dresses. I am very excited about reading this book and can't wait to get it in my "paws."

The next thing that I am excited about is my order of Hairfinity vitamins that should be arriving any day now! I've been seeing these vitamins on Facebook for awhile now and I've wanted to try them. Not necessarily because I think they'll be a miracle vitamin and grow my hair super long, but because I just simply want to see for myself if they do what the makers claim they do. And that is to "increase your hair growth rate up to 200% within the first month." So I will post before and after pictures of myself on this blog and on my youtube channel. I really hope that these vitamins actually do something; a lot of the girls and women are see on Facebook and YouTube who buy them are Black women and  I know with a lot of us, our hair can be a source of great concern and low self-esteem. I hope that this company isn't on some snake oil salesmen type of rap and just taking advantage of all the women and girls out there who desperately want longer hair. So we shall see. Check back around the end of January for my update on them.

The last thing I'm excited about today is Christmas! Christmas dinner to be exact. My mom is such a good cook; her greens are the bomb.com and I cannot wait to just lay up and eat, eat, eat until I explode! Sounds good doesn't it? LOL.

Well thanks for reading and have a great day everyone! Don't forget to subscribe and stay-tuned for my Hairfinity results.

Grad School Excitement!!

I am sooooo excited! In a little less than 4 weeks I will be starting graduate school! I can't believe it. Time has gone past so quick since I first applied and then got my acceptance letter. I feel so BLESSED. Wait...I guess I should probably tell what I'm going to grad school for. Right? Yep. LOL. Well, I will be attending lovely Chatham University here in Pittsburgh for my Masters degree in Professional Writing with a concentration in Web Development. Writing is my passion and the internet is kinda sort of like my second passion. This is so perfect for me. God has given me such a wonderful opportunity with this blessing and I plan to make the most of it.  This New Year is starting off great already and it isn't even here yet!

2011 End-of-the-Year WISH LIST

Hello everyone! The end of 2011 is near and I couldn't be more excited! While this year has been good to me and I'm happy for all of the blessings that I've received this year, I'm really looking forward to 2012. I have a feeling that 2012 is going to be a very exciting year for me. I'm very anxious to see what the New Year holds. On that note, there are some things that I would like to have for 2012 that I think will be very beneficial to have in my "Glam-Kitty" arsenal. So, for your viewing pleasure, below is my 2011 End-of-the-Year Wish List.

***these items are listed in no particular order of importance**

1.) Prada Candy! Yum Yum! This perfume smells SO good. I was a Nordstroms in Dallas over the summer and the saleswoman came up to me and let me smell this. OMG I almost fell over! It smells SO good. My mind hasn't been blown away by a perfume since I first smelled Elizabeth Arden's Red Door. I NEED this perfume in my life. This is going to be my 2012 scent.

2.) Crest Premium White Strips. LOL. I know I know. But a girl HAS to keep her teeth nice and white. My teeth are already pretty white and my mom is always saying that I don't need them any whiter BUT... I want that Joe Biden, movie star smile so I'm going to whiten my teeth to their fullest potential with the White Strips. I've had good results with these in college so I'm sure (at least I hope) I'll get the same good results again.

3.) Clairsonic Mia (in Berry). I have been wanting one of these for such a long time. All the reviews I've read have stated that these are amazing in cleaning your face. I've noticed that there are a lot of competitors out there making cleansing brushes similar to Clairsonic but I think I'm going to stick with the original. And I've read that this does wonders for minimizing pores so I'm super excited to see if thats true.

4.) Christian Louboutin Black Pumps! Owwww! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christian Louboutin shoes. Well, I love looking at them because I can't afford them right now. But I really want a pair of simple black pumps. Nothing too fancy, just a pair that I can pull out for a date or some other special occasion. And they're well-made, quality shoes so with proper care they can last a long time.

5.) Bare Escentuals - The Cocktail Hour Eyeshadow Palette.  I have been looking for a nice eyeshadow palette that has colors I can use ALL the time and that is small enough to keep in my makeup bag. This is it. I love it! I saw it on Sephora's website and I knew I had to have it. The colors in this particular palette go purrfect with my complexion and they're pretty and sexy but not too sexy where it would look ridiculous on my face at work. And the packaging is just super cute. It is a little gold case that looks almost like a little credit card holder. This really is a MUST HAVE.

6.) And last but certainly not least, Pink jeans! I need some pink-colored jeans in my life.  I saw some on the Express website that I like but they're jeggings and not really jeans, so I don't know. There's no picture at the bottom since I haven't seen any that I love.

So, this is the end of my 2011 End-of-the-Year Wish List. Hopefully I'll be able to obtain a few of these items by years end, if not, there's always next year :)

Today is My Friday!

I'm sooo happy! Today is my Friday! No work for me tomorrow! It will be so nice to just lay up and relax and eat and watch my 'stories,' Maury, Jerry, The Doctors, and anything on Animal Planet. My house will be clean and my pajamas will be nice and warm (with matching socks of course) and I'm just going to relax. As a matter of fact I have a frozen Sara Lee cherry pie waiting on me. It was supposed to be for Thanksgiving but I think it needs to get ate now. Like right now. LOL. Does anyone else have tomorrow off? If you do, what will you do with your day??

Oh and before I go, let me explain that the reason I have tomorrow off is because it's Veteran's Day. And I just want to say that I am deeply grateful for all of the men and women of this country who have put their lives on the line for this country (whether you agree with why and how we've gone to war or not) you have to give it up for our fellow Americans who go out there and do what most of us would not.

So I'm dedicating this blog to the veterans in my life ; my brother Specialist Richard E. Moran, US Army (RIP) and my sister from another mother Corporal Talina Altman, US Marines.

Have a great weekend everyone!
